How Compressed Air Powers Your Operations

CNC and Machine Tools

Air-powered chucks, tool changers, and coolant mist. Consistent pressure keeps your machining tolerances tight.

Welding and Fabrication

MIG, TIG, and plasma cutting all depend on clean, dry compressed air for consistent weld quality.

Surface Preparation

Shot blasting, grit blasting, and sandblasting. High volume air demand for surface prep before coating.

Paint and Coating

Spray booths need oil-free, moisture-free air. Poor air quality means defects, rework, and rejected parts.

Pneumatic Tools

Impact wrenches, grinders, riveters, nail guns. The tools your team uses every day.

Clamping and Actuation

Pneumatic clamps, presses, and actuators across production lines and assembly cells.

Why Manufacturers Overspend on Compressed Air

1

Inherited compressors nobody has sized properly

Most manufacturers inherited their compressed air system when they moved in. Nobody has checked whether it matches actual demand. Oversized machines waste energy. Undersized machines starve your tools.

2

Reactive maintenance costing two to three times more

Waiting for breakdowns costs more than preventing them. Emergency callouts, lost production, overtime to catch up. A planned approach costs a fraction and keeps you running.

3

Energy waste from leaks nobody can hear

Typical manufacturing sites lose 20 to 30% of compressed air output to leaks. That is energy you are paying for and getting nothing from.

Maintenance That Matches How Hard You Run

Airmech services compressors based on actual run hours and manufacturer specifications, not calendar guesses. Every machine gets the right interval, the right parts, and a proper operational test at every visit.

We maintain all major brands. CompAir, Hydrovane, Atlas Copco, Ingersoll Rand, Kaeser. Your mixed estate is not a problem. One contract, consistent standards, and clear reporting across every machine on your floor.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you service all compressor brands?

Yes. We are brand-agnostic and maintain CompAir, Hydrovane, Atlas Copco, Ingersoll Rand, Kaeser, and every other major brand. Genuine OEM parts where we are authorised, equivalent quality elsewhere.

Can you help reduce our energy costs?

Yes. We offer ultrasonic leak surveys, pressure optimisation, and system audits. Typical manufacturers recover 20 to 30% of wasted air output through leak repair alone.

What is PSSR and does it apply to us?

The Pressure Systems Safety Regulations require a written scheme of examination for pressure vessels, including air receivers. If you have a compressor with an air receiver, PSSR almost certainly applies. We handle the paperwork and coordinate examinations.

How fast can you attend a breakdown?

Sub 24 hour response as standard. Contract customers get priority scheduling. For critical production assets, we agree specific attendance windows at contract stage.
